Ambon is a pretty village located near the Gulf of Morbihan with on both sides the Damgan Peninsula and the Rhuys Peninsula !
Became common since 1790, before the parish of Ambon stretched the river of Pénerf at the Saint-Eloi and Atlantic rivers on the Dredge Heath in the North.
Ambon has traces of the past, the earliest dating back to 800 000 BC We invite you to discover its cultural heritage and religious through the various trails that will take you to chapels, fountains and traditional villages. Visit also the small church of Ambon, classified historical monument since 1990, it will reveal its history which goes back to the Roman period (the excavations archaeological sites of 1988 have unveiled a Roman temple of the third century).
The coastal frontage of our commune extends over 4 km with the beaches of Bétahon, Cromenac’h and Tréhervé. The small creeks and large beaches make you enjoy the sun and swimming.
